A couple of years ago, I worked as a Director/DP, which combines the roles of director and director of photography. Later, I started working solely as a DP, which allowed me to focus on what I enjoy most — creating images. In short, I’d say I regret not focusing on the DP role earlier.

I don’t really regret anything, but I do wish I’d been a bit kinder to myself. I used to work a lot — often overtime, because I enjoyed it. But maybe if I’d slowed down, I could’ve avoided some burnout. I’m still learning that loving your work is great, but not if it costs your energy or well-being.

Not refusing to work with toxic clients.
They lead both the team and me toward burnout, and no paycheck is worth that.

I was embarrassed to talk openly about being a nutritionist on social media. I also didn’t choose the best university for studying Nutrition the first time, and missed the chance to learn from the best teachers.

I regret not parting ways with my former business partner sooner. We were pulling each other in the wrong direction, and it cost me focus.
