Most challenging part of your job that people often don’t see from the outside.
Managing concurrent projects can be challenging, especially if timelines slip due to things on the client side.
Finding that creative spark can sometimes be challenging, too. I don't wake up every day with all these ideas going through my head — sometimes I have to work really hard at getting into a rhythm and creative flow.

If someone wants to enter your field today, where should they start?
Get a job as a junior in a design agency first. Then another agency. Then another. They all operate differently, and you'll learn so much about processes, client comms, and pricing, and you'll get mentorship and learn from those around you. It's invaluable.

What drives you at work?
I always want my latest project to be my best, so I set out with that intent. But I'm also driven by making money too, although I turn projects down if they're not deemed a good fit — there's more to it than money.

I work quite fast, and I'm quite old, so I guess I have more experience than most. But I'm by no means better than anyone with less experience.

Big believer. I rarely work past 5 pm so I can concentrate on my family, switch off, and recharge. I'm no good to anyone overworked, tired, and creatively exhausted.
